KIDZKARE 

KidzKare provides supervised contact in Tauranga and Wellington.

KidzKare Services was established to enhance the lives of children so they can maintain and build a relationship with both parents families and whānau. 

 

  • KidKare is the preferred provider for supervised visits for Ministry of Justice (courts) and CYF. in Tauranga 

  • KidzKare arranges visits between parents/family member/adults and children.  

  • All KidzKare Supervisors are Police Vetted, have first aid certificates and receive regular supervising and training.

  • KidzKare provides a Safe Environment, Approved Guidelines and is child focused. 

  • The main focus is to keep everyone, both children and adults safe during supervised visits.

  • We have an assessment meeting with the adults before starting the supervised visits.

  • During the assessment meeting custodial and non-custodial sign a contract to say they will at all times abide by the KidzKare rules.

  • There is a staggered drop off for all visits, this means that the custodial and non-custodial parent will not see each other.  This eliminates any tension which may arise between adults and keeps the visit about the children.

  • The contract outlines KidzKare’s rules and boundaries, which the client needs to, agree to.  This covers things like adults must be within sight and hearing of the supervisor at all times to ensure everyone’s safety.  No adult talk, no violence verbal or physical,  

  • Time:  As arranged between KidzKare, the family and agency or caregiver if one is involved, during week or weekends. Cost: $60 + GST per hour. Some people access our services privately others have funding from CYF or the Family court. 

We do have a small funding pool for those who really can't afford the full amount. 

They do need to complete an application form for a fee reduction.

KidzKare is a member of the 

Member of Aotearoa New Zealand Association of

Supervised Contact Services (ANZASCS)

And has MSD approval level 2
